Information we collect

We also collect anonymous information about subscriptions made for Bates through RevenueCat.

Technical basics

Bates runs locally on your Mac only. At no point are any of your files transmitted to any servers. In fact, we have no servers. Bates has access only to files you give it access to and works normally through Apple's own macOS sandboxed environment.

Analytics

Bates collects aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as how many users are subscribed, to improve the app.

Information usage

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

We do not share any information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Bates' functionality. In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
